Biography
Kristopher D. Steege received his B.A. in 1995 from South Dakota State University where he double majored in Art and Communications, Studies, and Theatre. He completed his M.F.A. in Scenic Design for Theatre in 1998 at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Prof. Steege has been teaching theatre design at Marian University since the fall of 1998 where he has also explored children’s theatre and playwriting for children. When he is not busy at Marian or with his family, Prof. Steege also works professionally as a freelance scenic designer and scenic painter. Some of his local designs include work for Summer Stock Stage, Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre, Butler University, Anderson University, the Children’s Museum, and Dance Kaleidescope.
