Mailroom Information and Policies

The Mailroom handles all mail and packages for students, faculty, and staff.

Location: Clare Hall, room 130

Fall and spring semester hours of operation
Monday, Wednesday: 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Tuesday,Thursday, Friday: 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Semester break hours of operation
Monday through Friday: 10 a.m.-12 p.m., 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

Mailroom Policies

COVID-19 Procedures:

To ensure the health and safety of our Marian community, we have taken careful consideration to make some changes to how things operate.

  1. To adhere to social distancing guidelines, we are limiting access to the mailroom to one person at a time. If there is an individual currently in the mailroom, please wait outside in the hallway until the lobby is clear.
  2. We are making sure to thoroughly and frequently clean our office and the PackCity lockers.
  3. We are limiting person to person contact by keeping our service window closed and switching to a pick up system for retrieving packages. When you arrive at the mailroom please have your Marian ID ready to show to the student employee working. They will not be able to give you your packages without seeing your ID. They will then guide you through our new process. We are asking for only one person in the lobby space at a time. If someone is currently being helped, please wait in the hall. If you are unable to pick up your package, you can have a friend pick it up for you. Please email us with their name. We will not be able to give them your package without an email from you. They will need to show their Marian ID.
  4. If you are in quarantine or isolation and would like your packages, please contact and they can get it to you.
  5. We are following the guidelines of the University in regards to masking.

The intent and mission of the Marian University Mailroom is to provide mailing services to students and university services for faculty and staff. As our enrollment has continued to grow, and as so much of our world has moved to ordering items online, it has become increasingly important to prioritize the services we provide to faculty and staff to align more directly with our intended mission.

From Marian University (package):
The Mailroom will fill out a shipping label for most packages being sent via USPS, UPS or Fedex. The shipping cost can be charged to the student account or paid with cash or check. Faculty and staff can charge to department accounts when an account number is provided.
