University Scholarships, Grants, and Financial Aid

  • Global Studies minors: If you have a minor in global studies, contact Dr. Adrianna Ernstberger, Chair of the Department of Global and Cultural Studies, for specific funding opportunities and information about the Gretchen Jane Siedling Donahue ’64 Global Studies Travel Fund.
  • Financial aid: You may be able to use state and federal financial aid to help cover study abroad costs. Once you've selected your program and understand the costs, consult with our Office of Financial Aid.
  • Travel grants: You may be eligible to apply for the Marian University Need-Based Study Abroad Grant to help cover your expenses.

Marian University Study Abroad Scholarships

  • Allison Bracket Accessible Travel Grant: Marian University has an annual dedicated travel grant for a student with a disability, the Allison Bracken Accessible Travel Award. Contact Dr. Adrianna Ernstberger for details. 
  • Marian University Travel Grant: Students with demonstrated financial need as verified by the Office of Financial Aid are eligible to apply for a travel grant toward their summer, semester, and year-long study abroad program. The program must be for academic credit and be at least two weeks in length.
  • Gretchen Jane Siedling Donahue '64 Global Studies Travel Fund:  This study abroad scholarship opportunity is available to all students who are pursuing a major or minor in Global Studies. Students can apply for this scholarship through the Study Abroad Canvas page.
